Robert Cecil Palmer Secondary was founded in 1959 for students in grade 7, 8, and 9. After two renovations, Palmer reopened in the May of 2000.
In the 1990s, Palmer decided to become a school that contained grades 8 to 12, and the first class to graduate walked across the podium in 1997.
