What is Social Studies?

Social studies is the subject of history, civilization, and economy. It can be divided into multiple topics, such as geography, history, politics and government studies, economical studies, and civilization and cultural studies. History is not just about the past - it's about how humans developed and changed into what we know as the world today.

History

History is the study of past events with materials such as photographs, writing (documents), and people. The topic has multiple sub-topics such as studying change, which is how humans have evolved and developed. There is also evidence-based studies, like using past resources to analyze objects and humans. Also, students learn about interpretation, which is about analyzing the evidence to support a claim; this can lead to debate and revising to ensure clarity. Teachers also provide students with assignments that allow them to connect the modern world experiences to past life.
